Instructional Design

Instructional design, also referred to as Instructional Systems Design, is the practice of systematically assessing, designing, developing and delivering instructional products and experiences, both digital and physical, in a consistent and reliable manner, towards an efficient, effective, appealing, engaging and motivational acquisition of knowledge.

The process consists generally of establishing the state and needs of the “student”, defining the end goal of instruction, and creating some “intervention” to assist in the transition.
The Instructional Design operating model that we, at the GSC Academy use, is based on the five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
